Design by Marte Helgetun was started 30th of November 2010, and within a year I had had more than 250 000 visitors. And sold my pattern and yarn worldwide. It takes no more than a few days to send packages abroad. I am so proud that so many people like my designs. I distribute my favourite yarn, and I have launched a web shop. My patterns are classic and timeless, with focus on high quality craft and details.
A big thank you to all of you who leave such lovely comments :) Without you this had been really boring. Keep them coming, and I promise to give you lots of new designs.
These first patterns are free.

Please forgive me, but I can’t seem to figure out how much your patterns are. I would love to purchase a couple. Thank you!
I would like to make your felted socks pattern. I wonder if your felting instructions (temperatures and such) are in Celcius. Could this be the case?
Yes in Celcius and all measurements in mm.

Hi Marte-
I fell in love with the pattern for the prinsessetøfler but am not seeing it on your website anywhere. I would be happy to pay for it if you have decided not to have it available as a free download any longer. I hope it is still available in some way! I know it was in Norwegian, I would be so happy with that as I can read norwegian patterns and have a good friend in Bergen who helps if I get stuck :)
I look forward to hearing from you! Tusen takk
I want to buy the baby bodysuit with grandad buttons. I am wondering if there is much sewing/seaming. Is it knitted top down?
Thanks!
Stephanie
Can anyone help with a translation please. How would you translate «Sårkant» in English?
Thanks a lot
Lena
«Sårkant» is the edge you get when you cut into a knitted material. In the article about «sore edges» I show how to crochet over the edge so the edges look nicer :)
